The Role of Support Educator at Kolla Group Housing

As a support educator, you contribute to creating a predictable, manageable, and understandable environment for our tenants.

You work to create conditions for participation and engagement based on the individual tenant's needs. You have a professional approach and contribute to the experience of safety and participation through a responsive, smooth, and professional demeanor.

Your work also includes being a role model and supporting colleagues in their contact person assignments, guiding colleagues in methods and approaches, guiding colleagues in social documentation and IBIC, being a role model and supporting colleagues in pedagogical work, as well as identifying and raising the needs of the unit in development and improvement work to enhance the quality of support for tenants.

Your Profile

You are a flexible and accommodating person who remains calm in stressful situations. You are structured, responsible, and have the ability to organize and plan your work based on the needs of the organization. You are also adaptable, proactive, and see opportunities in changes. Your ability to maintain a broad perspective and see the whole makes you a valuable employee who can contribute to development and improvements in your organization. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is an educated social educator, social worker, or has another pedagogical post-secondary education such as a YH education in the field
• has experience working with a similar target group
• is familiar with documentation and writing as well as following up on implementation plans
• has knowledge of AAC through experience

It is an advantage if you:

• have knowledge of IBIC through experience

Kolla Group Housing is located in a pleasant residential area in central Kungsbacka. It is a traditional group housing facility situated along the Kungsbacka River with a view of the new swimming facility and within walking distance to the city center. We have five apartments aimed at adults with various disabilities who require support services according to the Act on Special Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position starting from June 1, 2025, or by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. The length of shifts varies.

Within the administration for Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Service and Home Support are employed full-time but have the option to reduce their desired working hours based on the needs of the organization.
